Happy Holidays
Dec 6th, 2007 by April

The holidays are some of the nicest, warmest times of year. They present a great opportunity for bringing family together, enriching one’s faith, showing love to others and creating resolutions for improving one’s life.
During this holiday season, here are some heart-warming, inspirational things you to can do to get into the spirit!
- Read an inspiring holiday story, such as A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens or Chicken Soup for the Soul Christmas Treasury. If you don’t celebrate Christmas, you can watch a more general DVD like Chicken Soup for the Soul: Inspirational Stories for the Holidays, or read one of the many titles celebrating Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, etc.
- Donate some of your time or money to a cause you believe in. Wrap gifts for underprivileged children, serve dinner at a homeless shelter or send a small check to the charity of your choice. It’s important to remember those who are in need all year round, but especially during the holidays.
- Send a free Hallmark e-card to someone you love. It may seem like a small gesture but it will surely brighten their day!
- Give a small gift to someone you wouldn’t normally give to, like your mailman or a lonely coworker. This is quite easy and inexpensive to do; for example, you can bake cookies and put them in a festive tin or fill a small stocking with candy canes and treats. It will make that person feel special.
