Giving Thanks
Nov 22nd, 2007 by April
It’s wonderful that we in America (as well as our friends in Canada, albeit another day of the year) have a holiday where the aim is to give thanks for what we have. This is something that is incredibly easy to forget to do throughout our daily lives, but Thanksgiving gives us time to stop and reflect. Many families actually go around the table at dinner, having each member state what they are particularly thankful for that year.
Acknowledging our blessings and good fortune goes a long way towards overall happiness and overcoming the negativity in our lives. As you enjoy this holiday season with friends or family, why not take time to give thanks for:
- Friends & family
- Health
- Financial prosperity
- Love
- Random kindness of strangers
- A good job or career
- The privilege of education
- Enough food to eat
- Happiness
- Charity
- Hugs and smiles
- Warmth in winter
