Love is All You Need

The Associated Press recently surveyed over 1,000 people ages 13-24 in order to find out what makes them happy. The number one answer? Spending time with family. In addition, “when asked to name their heroes, nearly half of respondents mentioned one or both of their parents.”
That’s right, folks. Teenagers today want nothing more than to be loved.
Perhaps that shouldn’t surprise us. It is easy to look at the news each evening and become horrified by the direction some youth are taking. Without proper guidance, it is difficult for them to navigate their adolescent emotions and trials. But if all it takes to help a young person find direction and contentment is to spend time with them and show them love, this problem might be more easily solved than we thought.
