Blog Day 2007
Aug 31st, 2007 by Dave
Since this blog is fairly new (just re-launched it today), I thought we’d participate in BlogDay 2007 . Here are the five blogs that we’re linking to:
Will Wilkinson’s The Fly Bottle. Will’s goal is to have “an interesting and happy life” . He blogs about philosophy, political and ethical dilemmas, interspersed with how we establish happiness in modern society.
Marginal Revolution. Written by two economist, this blog is a mix of culture, economy, and politics, all geared towards making the world a better place.
Nerd’s Eye View. Tech, travel and culture. The perfect mix to get you thinking. Need I say more?
This Public Address offers a strange mix of photography and writing. I find photography blogs a bit hard to look at sometimes, but he compiles some amazing images on a regular basis.
And finally, What’s New, Pussycat? A good old-fashioned personal blog, written with a fun sense of humour and full of jest.
All of the above blogs offer something about looking at life from a different perspective. Yes, you could argue that all blogs do that by their very nature, however I disagree. Not all blogs want you to or offer the experience of examining life from a new angle. A window into someone else’s life or political beliefs doesn’t necessarily mean you will then take a step back and have a good look at your own life. These blogs do.
